Five Weeks Old!

Mason does more of EVERYTHING every day.  My favorite thing right now is just gazing into his eyes.  They are so bright and let me know that he is quite the happy boy!

Leigh, our friend from Louisville, took some family pictures during her wonderful-too short-visit.  What fun!

Here's Mason doing his daily talking.  It's so much fun for him to talk back.  I know there is more to come.  He's pretty close to smiling...any day now!

Happy to Be One Month Old!?!

Mason was in such a good mood before I wanted to take these pictures today.  He didn't like the leather chair so much because he was sliding all over the place!  So, most likely, the green chair will be where we take his monthly pictures.  Can you tell we have an expressive son?

Mason has changed so much in the past week.  He is finding his voice, is more bright-eyed every day, and is staying awake more to play with Mommy and Daddy.  One of his favorite things to do is to stare and now talk to the tiles behind our couch.  Their brown to tan contrast is apparently really something to talk about!  I pretend that Mason is telling me stories when he talks.  He's one good storyteller!

I'm Smilin'! I'm 4 weeks old!

Smiling at Mommy

How did this happen?  Have four weeks already passed?!?  It's hard to imagine that almost a month ago, Mason came into the world.  What did we do before him? :)
What a blessing every moment has been.  Such a miracle, such love!

What a precious boy we have been given!

Three Weeks Old!

Mason is three weeks old today!  ST says he turned 21 today...well in a way he did!

Not wanting to wake up...

Hooray for being 'Dog Gone Cute'!

An attempt at wearing big boy clothes.  Still a little too big!

Here is our first attempt at a video.  We went to visit Daddy at work today and here was the result.  He does this more and more!

A Couple of Firsts

Mason changes everyday!  We try to capture that in pictures, but usually we are just too busy staring at him.  Here's pictures from his first Snuggie ride and first bath.  Both--adventures!

What a face!

Mason is Two Weeks old and "Totally Handsome"!

We have had a wonderful first two weeks!  Mason has met all of his grandparents:  Yaya (Wanda), Grandaddy (George), Grammy (Kay) and Grandad (Allen) and has met many of our friends.  We are so thankful that we can share him with everyone!

Mason's Here and All is Well!

Two people yesterday reminded me that I had created a blog to show Mason to the world.  Somehow in the midst of having Mason enter the world and making the transition home, I had forgotten!  It never once occurred to me while in the hospital to put up anything.  Talk about 'New Mom' brain!
So, without further adieu, here is Mason Christopher Smith.  These are a few of my favorite pictures from his first 8 days with us out in the world.  It's been a wildly exciting time filled with family and friends and enough love to carry Mason his whole life through.  We are so blessed.  God is GOOD!

First Family Shot!  Mason came into the world at 10:02 Wednesday, July 23 weighing 9lbs 4oz, measuring 21.25 inches long.  He told the entire OR all about his journey!
Quite a moment!

Made it home on Sunday...a day later than expected.  Mason's weight dropped but is now on the upswing!

Some of the faces of Mason.  I can't help but love all of them!

At last, the happy family of three!
We are so thankful that Mason arrived safely and is our precious baby boy!
