Seven Months Old!

Okay, broken record time!  We can't believe Mason is seven months old and how he has grown!
Every day he amazes us by doing something new.  In the past two weeks, we've spent a lot of time at home since Shawn Thomas hurt his back and had repeat surgery.  So, we've had lots of time to watch Mason change.  So far, Mason:
--sits without 'face planting' for over a minute.
--rolls over from his back.  No more turtle legs!
--scoots backwards.
--turns in circles.
--does the yoga 'plank' position when he wants to go forward.  We think he'll be crawling before we know it!
--eats real food twice a day.  He loves bananas, clementines, pears, avocados, squash, and sweet potatoes.
--loves to track the dog and cats around the room.  He even pats on them when they let him!
--is in to EVERYTHING.  And then it goes into his mouth--

We love our little boy and the life he has brought us!  Here are a couple of videos of Mason showing off!

Mason's Moving and Shaking!

Mason is doing his best to wiggle and scoot.  It's so neat to watch how each day he gets stronger and moves more.  Right now, he can shake his tushie and scoot backwards.  He does a great push-up position.   He'll also rotate around, but he won't go forward.  Mason's getting it together.  Oh, he also loves water in his sippy cup!
Here's what I've gotten on video.  Enjoy!

and a Happy New Year!

Happy 2011!  We can only hope that this year is as much fun with Mason as the last.  We know that we will look back and see such a grown-up little boy.  We rang in the new year somewhere in Georgia, north of Atlanta.  The snow we got on Christmas Day delayed our Birmingham trip.  We (actually, ST) drove through the night.  We were hoping that Mason would sleep through the trip and lo, and behold, he did!  Both ways!  It made for a peaceful road trip.  We enjoyed being with the rest of our family for our second Christmas.  Mason's cousins adore him, it's so fun to see them play.  I can't wait to see how he continues to look up to them!
Tomorrow starts back the work week for me.  I can't say I'm excited about leaving my little man.  I've so enjoyed being with him and watching him change over the holidays.  It was certainly a wonderful first Christmastime!
About to taste Daddy's famous gingerbread

Loved the cookie!
Sort of upset when Mommy took it away, but got apple instead!

Daddy--at his best?!?
