First Easter Egg Hunt

We went to a neighborhood church this morning for Mason's first Easter Egg Hunt.  He had a wonderful time!  Mason picked up on the egg hunting pretty quickly; however, he was much more interested in taking them apart and seeing what was inside.  He's already delved into the candy and now likes M&M's. Yaya will be so excited!
Mason adored the Easter Bunny! We weren't really surprised he liked him.   Mason waved and waved, he smiled and smiled, and wanted to touch him.  Such a sweet boy!  I'm glad we went to the egg hunt today so Mason could have practice for our church's Easter morning traditions.  I think he'll have a big time!

21 Months Old!

Here's the big boy.  Man, was this picture hard to get.  Mason is busy, busy, busy.  He loves puzzles and books.  We play Truck-Hunt and Bus-Hunt in the car.  It's so funny to hear him say, "Bus, bus, ...are you?"  We definitely have a smart cookie on our hands.  We took our first trip of the season to get ice cream last Thursday.  So fun to watch Mason feed himself this year.  It's amazing to see who our Mason Man is becoming.  Such a sweet, loving boy!

This month's book--It's a puzzle book!

Chocolate this time and holding it myself!

Our Shadow Family--we thought this was beautiful!

He begged to wear these during dinner!

March Merriment!

We had such a fun month of March!  Yaya and G came to play with Mason while ST and I went to Massanetta Springs Conference Center for a planning retreat.  They had the best time together.  Mason is still doing some of the things they taught him.  Nothing too damaging! :)
We also FINALLY made it to the zoo.  I was so excited that I forgot to put the SD card in the camera!  Thankfully ST and I both had our iPhones.  Mason loved the animals.  He thought that the giraffes were amazing, probably because he could get the closest to them.  We fed them together, it was amazing!  I was so thankful that ST didn't have meetings every Saturday this month!  Family time is a wonderful, wonderful thing!
Puzzles for the ump-teenth time with G.

20 Months Old!

Whew, what a month!  Not to make excuses for not posting, but this month was busy.  Shawn Thomas had   obligations every Saturday of the month which bit into our family time. :(  Mason was sick with a nasty cold virus that really knocked him down.  Then, he so lovingly shared with us!  Geez, kid, could you not be so good at sharing?!?  So, with that and teeth coming in all over the place, we stayed busy cuddling and playing mostly at the house.  We did get to the park a few times, though which made Mason Man very happy.  He has all of his bottom teeth back to his first molars.  His top molars are about done coming down and his canines are on their way.  He won't let me look but ever so often!

Mason has begun to really communicate with us.  He answers questions, takes commands, and is better at expressing himself every day.  The best story to show how he is becoming such a toddler:  Thursday, he woke up just a bit early and kept saying, "Hot, hot, hot!"  After snuggling for 5 minutes, he signed and said, "Hurt, hurt."  We asked, "What hurts, Mason?"  He quickly held his ears.  We instantly knew he had an ear infection--his first one at 20 months. (So thankful for that!)  The doctor said we made her job very easy since he told us what was going on.  I was on proud Mama.  Mason communicated how he felt!  He also made us laugh the other day when he got in the car to go to Mrs. Wendy's.  After being in the car a few minutes, he said, "Bus, bus...are you?"  We spent the rest of the car ride on a bus hunt.   At the bottom is a video of Mason singing the alphabet (he usually does it a little better), reading a book, and saying Amen at the end of his prayers.
What fun it is to be the Mommy to such a fun big boy!

Snow Day!

This post is long overdue!  We had snow on President's Day here in Richmond.  It was perfect timing because both ST and I were home for the day.  Mason enjoyed the snow although he questioned why it was on his hands!  We didn't stay out too long since Mason was just wrapping up a terrible cold virus.  But we enjoyed it all the same!
