14 Month's Old!

Here he is!  Our wiggly, squiggly 14 month old.  I tell you, these pictures were hard to get!  Right after I took all of these, we experienced our first big earthquake!  Mason didn't even flinch, but that didn't surprise me!
Mason is a busy, busy boy.  He still has 7 teeth but we think that the eighth one is on the way--probably just in time for school to start!  He chooses to walk more than crawl and he's way into taking toys out and (sometimes) putting them back up.  His favorite toy is my Tervis straws.  Every morning he goes and gets them from the tupperware drawer and carries them everywhere!  He also loves to read, read, read.  He clears his bookshelf and then reads cover to cover.  Love it and love him!

Still just long enough!
Loves his books!

Loves his Baxter, too!

Happy Birthday Daddy and First Boat Ride!

Here are the promised boat pictures.  It was a perfect addition to Shawn Thomas' birthday.  Mason really did like the ride even though he's not all smiles.  I'm thinking I wouldn't be either if I had to wear that life jacket!  But, I thought it was wonderful he didn't cry and he loved soaking in the scenery.  I see many more rides in our future.  Thanks, Yaya and Grandaddy!
Not Sure yet!
Much better now!

Happy Birthday, ST!

Awesome August!

After finally recovering from Montreat, it was time to head to the beach once again!  This time, Mason got to play on the beach with his cousins, aunt and uncle.  We all had a fabulous time.  On our second day there, Mason decided that it was time to really start walking!  He practiced all week long and is now moving on two more and more.  We celebrated Daddy's birthday at the tail end of the trip with Mason's first boat ride.  I think he really liked it even with the life jacket.  More pictures of the boat ride, later.

Mason has now begun to 'smile'.  We think it's hilarious since we can't remember specifically using the word connected to squnching like he does!  That goes to show that he is picking up everything-all the time!  Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the month.

I finally got a video of Mason walking this afternoon (you'll have to excuse the crazy hair--couldn't control it today).  He's getting to be such a toddler now, but continues to still be amazing!
