Happy Easter!

Our First Easter as a Family!

Happy Easter from our family to yours!  I'm always amazed at the way Easter makes me feel.  The blessings of our Christian traditions were alive and well today as we celebrated Christ's resurrection!

We started our morning by giving Mason his Easter goodies.  He got a sand pail and beach tools for our upcoming trips, a big bottle of bubbles, and a set of pull back & wind up cars.  He was excited about all of it!  At church, we had an Easter Egg Hunt, received a butterfly, and flowered the cross.  Mason had a wonderful time and then completely zonked out on the way home.  I wasn't surprised at all.  This year was sweet, but next year I have a feeling Mason will be all over the place.  I would have it no other way!

Ten Months Old!

Already?!?  Mason changes every day and it is AMAZING!
He's so much more vocal and pulls up on everything-even many things much taller than him.  We can tell that he is understanding many more words.  My favorite word he knows is "look".  If you say it, he whips his head around to see what you have.  My least favorite is when I say "No, hot" when he is about to touch a cord.  It's not that I have to say it, it's that he smiles at me after I say it.  Oh boy, we are going to be in trouble!  He laughs and talks all the time, especially when he's playing...there's no telling what he's thinking about!  If he is this much fun now, we have so much to look forward to!

Swingin' Spring Break!

Mason and I traveled to Knoxville on Saturday to kick off our Spring Break.  Mom and Dad's new house is right up the hill from a wonderful park.  It's perfect for Mason to swing, play, and fish (well, that's for later!). 
Here are my favorite pictures of my swinging boy.  He loves, loves, loves the swing.  I'm so glad, it's one of my favorite things to do at the park, too!

Mason is amazing!  He now has two teeth and uses them well--except when he gets too much food in his mouth!  He is pulling up and side steps every once in a while.   When he sees me in the afternoon, he smiles, giggles, crawls straight to me and pulls right up to standing.  It makes my day every day.  But with Mason, it doesn't take much!
Yaya and Granddaddy came to visit last weekend and we played our time away.  Here are a few of my favorite pictures.  Yes, we did get our of our pajamas, but what's cuter?!?  What a special boy!
